One Piece TCG EB-05 Heroines Edition Vol.2 releases on 30 October 2026, making it the next English product for the card game before OP-18 arrives in November. Here is everything collectors in Australia need to know before buying packs or a box.
What Is EB-05 Heroines Edition Vol.2?
EB-05 is the fifth Extra Booster set for the One Piece Card Game and the second dedicated to the series' female characters. The first Heroines Edition was EB-03, which featured fan-favourite women from across the story. EB-05 builds on that with new Leaders, new character coverage, and a fresh set of Special card treatments tied to the ONE PIECE HEROINES anime series.
Extra Boosters sit outside the main numbered set releases. Where a main set like OP-18 introduces new mechanics and covers a wide range of characters, Extra Boosters focus tightly on a theme. EB-05's theme is clear: every card in the set features a heroine from the series, from some of the most well-known characters in the franchise to a few deep cuts that longer-term fans will appreciate.
The full set contains 75 card types plus 2 DON!! cards. Rarity breakdown from the official Bandai product page: 7 Leaders, 29 Commons, 21 Rares, 9 Super Rares, 1 Secret Rare, and 8 Special (Heroines SP) cards.
Characters Featured in the Set
The confirmed character lineup for EB-05 covers heroines from many different arcs and storylines. Named cards include Nami, Nico Robin, Shirahoshi, Jewelry Bonney, Boa Hancock, Rebecca, Nefertari Vivi, Miss Buckingham Stussy, Perona, Vinsmoke Reiju, Gerd, Charlotte Pudding, Monet, Tsuru, and Nico Olvia.
The headline addition is a new Nico Robin Leader card (EB05-010), confirmed on Bandai's official tournament page for the Heroines Battle Vol.2 event. Robin has appeared as a Leader in earlier sets, but this version brings new art from the ONE PIECE HEROINES series and introduces a different playstyle than her previous versions. For players already running a Robin deck, this may not be an automatic swap, but for collectors who want the new art, this is the only place to get it.
The Nami Super Rare EB05-055 is also notable before the set even releases. Bandai confirmed this card on their official X account in October 2026, showing a new illustration by Kentaro Yabuki, an artist known for his manga work on To Love-Ru and Black Clover. The card is one of nine Super Rares in the set and is separate from the Secret Rare Nami EB05-061.
Box Structure: How Many Cards Per Box?
English EB-05 booster packs contain 12 cards at a list price of USD $4.99 per pack. Each booster box contains 24 packs, giving 288 cards per box across a set of 77 unique types (counting the DON!! cards). At that ratio, you can expect to see each Common card several times over in a box. Super Rares and above are spread at a much lower rate, and Bandai does not publish the exact pull rates for the One Piece Card Game.
This lack of published rates is worth keeping in mind when comparing boxes. Without official odds, the market relies on community box-opening data to estimate rates. Based on what EB-03 showed the community, the eight Heroines SP cards and the Secret Rare are the most hunted pulls, with the SP Nami and SP Boa Hancock typically drawing the strongest interest from collectors.
The Chase Cards
The top target in EB-05 is Nami EB05-061, the only Secret Rare in the set. With just one card at that rarity out of 77 types, and no published pull rate, this is the rarest pull from any box. The Secret Rare slot is not guaranteed in every box, so collectors who specifically want this card may find it more practical to buy the single once the set releases and prices settle.
The eight Heroines SP cards are the other major targets. These are parallel versions of existing cards with new foil treatments and artwork from the ONE PIECE HEROINES anime. The reported SP lineup is Nami (new art on OP01-016), Nico Robin EB05-016, Miss Buckingham Stussy EB05-006, Perona OP14-033, Boa Hancock ST17-004, Vinsmoke Reiju EB05-031, Gerd OP17-081, and Charlotte Pudding OP17-109.
SP cards in Extra Booster sets tend to be the primary value driver on the secondary market. This was true for EB-03's equivalent cards, and the same pattern is likely here. The characters featured in the SP lineup, particularly Nami, Boa Hancock, and Nico Robin, all have large collector followings.
The nine Super Rares are: Jewelry Bonney EB05-001, Miss Buckingham Stussy EB05-006, Shirahoshi EB05-014, Nico Robin EB05-016, Alvida EB05-021, Sugar EB05-034, Yamato EB05-046, Gloriosa EB05-052, and Nami EB05-055. The Yamato and Boa Hancock cards tend to attract attention from competitive players, while the Kentaro Yabuki Nami EB05-055 is already being tracked by art-focused collectors ahead of release.
Other Products Releasing on 30 October
The TS-03 Mini Case Set releases on the same day as EB-05. It includes one mini storage case (six different designs are available) with one promo card and two OP-17 booster packs, at a list price of USD $11.99. This is a lower-commitment product for collectors who want a small EB-05 adjacent purchase without committing to a full box.
What Comes Next: OP-18 and the Gift Collection
OP-18 The Dominance of God releases on 20 November 2026. This is the next main booster set following OP-17, with a reported 127 card types plus 1 additional card at the same USD $4.99 per pack list price. OP-18 covers a new story arc and introduces new mechanics for the competitive game.
The Gift Collection Heroines (GC-2026) also ships in November through Premium Bandai. It contains 2 EB-05 booster packs, 70 card sleeves, and 10 promo cards, at a list price of USD $44.99. This is a direct-order product from Bandai's online store rather than standard retail, so availability for Australian buyers may depend on shipping options from Premium Bandai's regional channels.
Bandai's official Heroines Battle Vol.2 tournament event runs from 6 November to 6 December 2026. Players at participating stores must use a Heroines Leader from an approved list of 27 cards. EB05-010 Nico Robin is the only EB-05 card on that list at launch, alongside 26 Heroines Leaders from earlier sets. Store sign-ups opened 23 October on the TCG+ platform.
Packs, Singles, or Sealed Boxes: Which Makes Sense?
For players who need the new Nico Robin Leader card for a deck, buying one or two packs or a single copy from a local singles seller after the first week of release is usually the most direct path. Leader cards have no pull rate advantage from boxes, and paying box prices to hunt a single card is rarely efficient.
For collectors targeting the Heroines SP cards or the Secret Rare Nami, the decision between opening boxes versus buying singles is a personal one. Opening boxes gives you the experience of pulling on release day and guarantees a full count of base-set cards. Buying singles after the market settles typically costs less for specific targets, but you miss the release-day experience.
If you already have pull singles from earlier One Piece sets you no longer need, you can also check the sell to us page to see what we are currently looking for.
