Gold Coast and Brisbane Card Shows and Collector Events Calendar

If you are trying to plan your year around card shows, comic cons and LEGO expos in South East Queensland, here is a rundown of the recurring events, their venues, and every date each organiser has actually confirmed as of now. Where an organiser hasn't announced the next date yet, that is stated plainly rather than guessed at.

Hunters Card Show (Brisbane)

Hunters Card Show runs a true monthly cadence at Sleeman Sports Complex Velodrome in Chandler, Brisbane, Saturdays 9am to 4pm, with $10 early bird or $15 door entry and free entry for kids 12 and under. The 2026 calendar lists dates on 13 June, 4 July, 1 August (already held), then 12 September, 26 September (a collab show), 17 October, 14 November and 5 December still to come this year. If you only make it to one recurring card show a year, this is the one with the most sittings to choose from.

Cardboard & Collectibles Card Show (Brisbane)

A recurring Pokemon, Yu-Gi-Oh, Magic and One Piece collectibles fair held in Brisbane through 2026, with earlier sittings in April and May listed on trade show aggregator BankTCG. We could not independently confirm the exact venue and the next 2026 sitting date from the organiser's own page at the time of writing, so check the show's Facebook events page directly before planning a trip around it.

Brisbane Card Show (Eagleby)

Billed as "Queensland's newest event," Brisbane Card Show runs at Distillery Road Market in Eagleby. The next confirmed sitting is 28 and 29 November 2026, 10am to 4pm both days. As a newer event, its future recurring pattern beyond that date has not been published yet.

POKEcon Australia (Eagleby)

A community-run, fan organised Pokemon event, not affiliated with the official Pokemon Company, held at Distillery Road Market in Eagleby. The 2026 event ran 8 to 9 August 2026, and vendor spots for that sitting sold out ahead of time. No 2027 date has been announced; the organisers say to follow their socials to be first in line when the next one is confirmed.

Collectors Paradise (PCYC Nerang)

A Gold Coast collectors event held at PCYC Nerang, 61 Cayuga St, Nerang. Past sittings have sold out ($35 on the door when tickets remain), and a listing for a 7 June 2026 date has circulated on third party event aggregators, but we could not confirm venue-side pricing, exact hours or the organiser's own next date from a primary source at the time of writing. Check PCYC Nerang's own booking page for the next confirmed sitting before making plans.

The Hobby Hangout XL (Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne)

A touring sports and trading card showcase with tournaments and vendor stalls, run by The Hobby Hangout. The Brisbane sitting for 2026 was held 30 August 2026 at the Exhibition Building, Brisbane Showgrounds. The touring calendar continues to Sydney at Carriageworks on 1 November 2026, and a Melbourne sitting at the Royal Exhibition Building is already booked for 26 April 2027. No further Brisbane date beyond the one already held this year has been announced yet, so Brisbane collectors should watch The Hobby Hangout's own site for the next Queensland sitting.

Collectorama Fair (Nambour)

A long running general antiques, vintage and collectables fair at Nambour Showgrounds, gates open 7am, $8 cash entry with kids free. It runs four times a year, with the first 2026 sitting on Saturday 7 March. Card and hobby collectables are one part of a much broader vintage and antiques fair here, so it suits people happy to dig through a wider mix rather than a dedicated TCG-only event.

Supanova Comic Con & Gaming (Gold Coast)

A large pop culture convention with a strong gaming and TCG presence alongside comics, cosplay and guests. Supanova Gold Coast 2026 ran 11 to 12 April at the Gold Coast Convention & Exhibition Centre in Broadbeach, 10am to 6pm both days.

Oz Comic-Con Brisbane

Brisbane's equivalent major pop culture convention, held at the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre. The 2026 event runs 19 and 20 September, doors 9:30am to 4:30pm both days.

QLUG Gold Coast Brick Show

Run by the Queensland LEGO Users Group (QLUG), this is the Gold Coast's dedicated LEGO fan event, held at the John Stapleton Sports Centre, Trinity Lutheran College Ashmore Road campus in Molendinar. The 2026 sitting ran 2 and 3 May, $5 entry, and sold out ahead of the event. No 2027 date has been announced yet; QLUG also runs a Hervey Bay Brick Show most years for anyone further north.

BrisBricks BBX LEGO Fan Expo

BrisBricks, Brisbane's recognised LEGO User Group, runs BBX, described as Queensland's largest LEGO fan expo, at the Exhibition Building, Brisbane Showgrounds. BBX2026 runs 12 and 13 September 2026, marking five years of the event, and includes staggered entry sessions plus dedicated sensory-friendly sessions for visitors of all abilities.

Planning around all of this

The pattern across these events is that the smaller, more frequent card shows (Hunters Card Show especially) are the easiest to build a regular habit around, while the big annual expos (Supanova, Oz Comic-Con, BBX, QLUG's Brick Show) need to be diarised well ahead since tickets and vendor spots do sell out. For anything listed above as unconfirmed, the organiser's own Facebook page or ticketing link is always the most current source, since third party aggregators can carry stale dates.

We turn up to a fair few of these ourselves, buying and occasionally trading. If you can't make it to a show, you can find us any day of the week at Frenly Bricks, Carrara Markets, open 7 days. Browse our Pokemon TCG, LEGO and One Piece TCG stock online, check store hours and directions, or if a show has you thinking about clearing out your own collection, see what we buy collections for.
